The role

What you will do

  • Plan field execution, manpower, staging, rigging and subcontractors for assigned projects and customers.
  • Run safe jobs and enforce procedure: daily safety meetings, completed JHAs, and lockout/tagout.
  • Read and mark up mechanical and electrical drawings, and direct modifications per specification.
  • Coordinate materials and vendors, and make sure tools, equipment and rigging are ready when they are needed.
  • Perform initial job walks and layouts, and support quotes and bids with inside sales.
  • Direct complex diagnostics and repairs, and escalate to operations or engineering when it is warranted.
  • Give daily updates to the designated stakeholders, and keep documentation and closeout clean.
  • Coach technicians, and mentor leads and apprentices through ride-alongs and on-the-job supervision.
  • Identify and generate pull-through recommendations that resolve issues before they become shutdowns — work for your team, and revenue for the company.
  • Recruit, build and develop a team of journeymen, apprentices and tradesmen.
  • Build a customer- and team-centered culture, resolving disputes in line with the CCMS CARE values.

What you will bring

  • Field leadership and strong communication skills.
  • The ability to read and mark up drawings.
  • CARE for customers and team members.
  • A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and insurability.
  • Organization, accountability and customer service.
  • Positive representation of the trade with customers, manufacturers, sales representatives and technicians.

Your growth path

  • Foreman to General Foreman to Senior General Foreman / Field Operations Manager
  • Annual factory training

Every step is defined, and the training that goes with it is scheduled rather than promised.
